About:

Are you ready to ditch the traditional "policy police" HR role and be a culture catalyst instead? We're looking for a People & Culture Manager who's equal parts  employee champion, recruiter, strategist, problem-solver, and organized operator. This isn’t your sleepy corporate HR gig — it’s an opportunity to help shape an energetic, high-growth firm with strong core values (Doing Good by Doing Right!) while ensuring our people processes, compliance, employee experience, and HR strategy run smoothly and effectively.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee engagement, recruiting, compliance, HR strategy, and day-to-day people operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll have broad exposure across all areas of HR while partnering closely with leadership and employees throughout the firm.

What You'll Rock At:

  • Drive our people-first culture while supporting day-to-day HR operations including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee engagement, leave management, and professional development initiatives.

  • Partner with leadership to support HR strategy, employee engagement initiatives, retention efforts, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to managers and leadership by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and people-related decision-making.

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for open positions, including sourcing, candidate communication, interview coordination, onboarding support, and partnering with hiring managers to attract top talent and create strong candidate experience.

  • Champion professional growth and employee development initiatives in partnership with our professional development team.

  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices across a multi-state workforce.

  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance.

  • Maintain HR records, documentation, reporting, and employment-related processes with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate closely with leadership and employees across the firm to support organizational needs, employee experience initiatives, and overall employee success.

  • Bring positive energy, adaptability, accountability, and a team-first mindset to everything you do.

You're Our Person If:

  • You have 3+ years of progressive HR, people operations, recruiting, or related experience in a professional environment with exposure to employee relations, recruiting, payroll coordination, benefits administration, compliance, or HR operations.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • You enjoy working in a hands-on role with a wide variety of responsibilities and shifting priorities.

  • You’re highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are comfortable interacting with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization.

  • You approach sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.

  • You have a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices and a desire to continue learning and growing professionally.

  • You’re comfortable using technology and learning new systems; experience with ATS, payroll, or HR systems is required. Experience with JazzHR and isolved is a plus.

  • Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt employees is preferred.

  • Experience working with multi-state employee populations is a plus.

  • Your SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a nice-to-have, but your people skills are a must-have.

  • You've mastered the art of HRIS and payroll systems (tech is your friend!)

  • Your energy is contagious and your growth mindset is unstoppable.

  • You embody our core values of Doing Good by Doing Right™.

The Fine Print:

  • Full-time position based in our Pittsburgh office.
